Quality Assurance Manager (M/F/D)

COLUMBIA Cruise Services GmbH & Co. KG (CCS), affiliated to the COLUMBIA Group, is a Hamburg-based company founded in 2014. The Cypriot predecessor, the “COLUMBIA Cruise Group” looks back on a history of 30 years within the maritime leisure industry. Due to our continuous fleet expansion, we are looking for the right individual to strengthen and complement our Hamburg based Commercial Team.

Your tasks:

  • Leading communication and providing effective support in working with Heads of Departments and shipboard management in ensuring development and implementation of the Management System in compliance with Customers’ requirements, the international and national rules and regulations, ISM-Code, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 50001, MLC 2006 and ISO 45001;
  • Devising and reviewing Management System procedures , promoting and supporting efforts for continual improvement;
  • Ensuring control of the Management System documentation;
  • Ensuring timely executions of internal and external audits, providing support and facilitation of the audits process, ensuring prompt analysis and follow up on any non-compliances;
  • Reporting to the Head of QSHE on any matters affecting Quality Assurance, performance of the Management System and including recommendations for improvement;
  • Providing such assistance to the Head of QSHE to ensure functionality of the Department in accordance with the Company Management System requirements and Customer’s expectations;
  • Reporting to the Head of QSHE trends or issues which may require immediate attention or follow-up;

Your profile:

  • A degree from a university or having three (3) years of relevant work experience with another shipping company;
  • Advanced training on Management Systems and auditing;
  • A wide knowledge of ISM-Code, ISO 9001, ISO 14001 ISO 50001, MLC 2006 and ISO 45001;
  • Good managerial and communication skills as well the ability to work within a team;
  • Good knowledge of maritime industry and operations, applicable standards, international rules and regulations and of industry guidelines and recommendations;
  • A willingness to learn and adopt new systems and ideas;
  • Proficient in MS Office;
  • Proficient in spoken and written English.
